Dear fellow geeks,
I have been type one for 52 years and bipolar for 54 years. I totally love to design and build vacuum tube circuits for electric guitar and stereo use and use computers loaded with CentOS Linux and I do that for security and stability as my 2 computers have been running 24/7 for over 10 years without a re-boot. I do not consider myself a nerd as I play guitar in a band called the 4-Heads and regularly compose songs and write much poetry all the time. I worked in electronics design for 40 years and many of my designs were used by the USAF and went to space and I am a Canadian.
I am part geek, part creative person and these two things find a common root in my mind.

I get 'I think' the comps, running none stop, (Will they do that for 10 years?) And the Bi polar bit. Hows your sense of humour? We have a bi polar cousin on one side of the family and some Canadians oh no! Yes we do! South River Ontario! I also worked in NS for a good time to!
I just started back into Bass Guitar after around 26 years of just whistling haha! It's a passive 4 string! 2 tone X 2 Volume! Brother 'Badmoon' on here will tell you about the mods he has done to his Fender! You 2 will be talking a lot I guess! By the way. I'm living in Andalucia, Spain. regards and again welcome.

I have modified my guitars extensively over the years, even making new pick-guards with an overarm router to install 10,000 turn pickups that produce the most subtle and barking distortion ever, made by Fury Guitars based in my home city Saskatoon and Glenn is a good friend. Tell me what the name of your group is called, I can't find it.

It's right here and just look for "Diabetic Guitarists and Bassists". Somebody thought it amusing to put me in my own sub group ha!(cos I'm English huh?)
Now here is the plan. Hope on a plane and we will meet you at Malaga Airport. Sure we can find some kit for you to mod over here! 10.000 turns? How many do they normally have? You gotta talk to Badmoon. You'll have a common language!I only just got back to toying with a guitar a few days ago after years of just whistling haha!
Saskatoon, Really? I never got further than Arizona 40 years ago! It's all a grey nebulous memory now. Saskatoon? I only ever heard of that in the movies! Come back!

Saskatoon is nearly the center of all Canada. We are center of Saskatchewan and it was -45 degrees here for a week at the end of January which is typical. This is why we need dual truss rods to be in tune when transporting. My friend Glenn Mcdougal of Furry Guitars winds his own pickups and designed the machine to do it. They are wound so tight that no wax or other methods are needed to make a pickup that is totally free of micro-phonics and can wind 10,000 turns in less than 2 minutes. He is a total genius. His neck carving machine is a wonder of engineering. Glenn's winder builds pyramids of wire, one over the other which creates the distinctive sound he is famous for. He spent 4 years designing it and sells most of his guitars to studio musicians from the West US. His bass guitars have a "drop D" lever to lower the tune of the E to a D. His site is http://www.furyguitar.com/
