Hi all-

I live in Sandersville Georgia. I am 13 1/2 year diabetes veteran. I was diagnosed at the ripe ole age of 32, on August 4, 1998. I was Type 2 when diagnosed but now diagnosed as Type 1. I regularly see my doctor every 3-4 months in Macon, GA. at The Jones Center Endocrine Specialists.

i am new to this site.. have type 2 and high blood pressure sinc2006...funny it happen soon as i entered the surgical health field. IN saying that, i have had several episodes of denial untill the symptoms started to take over....sweets are my weakness! im taking better care of my self now...my goal is to lose weight so i can come off the shot and pills all toegther. it would be nice to find dedicated work out/ support partners in the savannah area.

Hello newly diagnosed type 1 diabetic. I have just turned 16 i know no one with diabetes my age. had a blood sugar of 1147 when diagnosed. dont believe me consult my doctors and records ;). I just am getting used to it not much fun though :/.

Did you hear about the AT&T employee that went into a diabetic coma and crashed into a pool today? Thankfully, no one, including the driver we hurt. Here's a link to the story.

Hello from Buckhead, not the Atlanta one, but the original one LOL.
Type1 and hoping to be pumping soon. But I am stuck with the VA as I cannot get traditional insurance. Getting the pump is literally taking an act of Congress as that's who I had to contact to get any help. I was told it was ordered yesterday, then today got a call saying a consult was set up for May 9th, so we'll see.

Hello from Carrollton. Type 2 for several years but definitely in denial about the whole thing. I take a handful of pills and an insulin shot at night but still struggle. Any advice on how to be a "good" diabetic appreciated!

Kellie from Decatur here. Type 2 diabetes for 9 years now. I just joined TuDiabetes today. Researching Victoza that I am about to begin taking next week. Time to take care of myself and get my BS levels under control.

Hey y'all! Cartersville, Georgia here. I'm a newbie so be kind and gentle with me.
Been diabetic for about 8 years, was diagnosed type 2 now insulin dependent and use the Omnipod for about two weeks now.

Are there any local events going on this summer? I go to school in FL so I'll miss the walk in the ATL this fall.
Specifically, I want to learn more about the new pump/cgm technologies since I want to get a new one in July.
