The other day my 11 year old daughter Chloe started having severe abdominal pain. She was doubled overand crying. Needless to say we jumped into the car and tore off for our local ER. After many test and an x-ray, our provider said that her intestines were completely full. We had this happen a few years back with her and were later admitted into a Children's Hospital and were told that Chloe had a abdominal migraine problem.(She never had one again until the other day-four years later) The ER doctor did tell us to look into Celiac Disease just as a precaution. Have any of you had a similar experience?

You should see a GI dr asap. I know this post was awhile ago, but thought it couldn't hurt to right back. I had 6 unsuccessful trips to the ER before I got my official celiac diagnosis. You need to get a special blood test and an endoscopy done to confirm. Those weeks that I was very symptomatic I had the worst abdominal pain of my life, felt like I was dying. I also had severe vomiting and diarrhea- which are common symptoms of celiac since your body is rejecting and getting rid of the gluten. Be mindful though, the symptoms of celiac are also the same as 200+ stomach issues, so a GI dr is your best bet to get the problem solved. Hope you get everything figured out!
