Eric chanting "up! down! up! down!" in time to his posting had even the judges cracking up :)

...and yes, we did have a lovely day. The boys had a great time and they did well. Eric talked up a storm throughout his ride and entertained the heck out of the onlookers.

No, I was the one taking the picture! That's the boys' riding instructor, Debbie.

Just realize you're going to have a lot of hard work ahead of you to get there if that's what you want to do... but I can't think of any more rewarding job!

That would be so cool! I can't wait to get out of high school and get started on vet school already...

With zoo animals, you might end up being half veterinary, have conservation/population biologist... depending on the species involved. If I had it to do over, I would *love* to have gone in for veterinary medicine with a subspecialty in conserving endangered species through captive and in situ breeding programs.

Lol, oops! Small animal is the plan right now, but zoo animals are starting to intrigue me. That would require 2 extra years of school I think, so I'll make that decision when I get there.

No, no... I was asking if you were going to specialize as a large-animal vet (horses, cows, etc) or small-animal vet (dogs, cats, ferrets, bunnies). Sorry for the misunderstanding.
