I wonder how many other people have little awareness of impending hypos and have found themselves hypo in a supermarket?
I get some funny looks from other people (though most of the staff are aware of what is going on now!) when I come to and find myself with a box of sugar lumps open in my hand, or a bottle of lucozade! I have every intention of paying for them but I do not have the time to wait for the queues - and certainly cannot remember how to use the "express checkouts" which generally go wrong when I am in a hurry or having a hypo!
Conversely, when I have been really high (and therefore thirsty!) I have been known to consume 2 bottles of water before getting to the checkout. I get some bemused looks from the newer checkout people who do not know me!
Any other embarrassing/amusing occurrences?
