Basically, show off your tattoo, and maybe give everyone a short story.

The first photo is it the day after, the second is about 3 days after and a bit scabby. I like Japanese art so I'm going to have a full Japanese sleeve. So far I have my geisha, and my artist and I are currently working on a water scene. I also have wings on my hip that wrap to my back, no photo yet though.

I really like the spiral stem...very nice.
Here I am a year and a half later. :)

This is my most recent tattoo, I got it on my 18th birthday, 3 weeks ago, this picture is just the outline (it was too swollen to show it after shading and I havent had time to take a new one) [I did this tattoo in honor of my mother, who passed away jan 18 2009 after about a 20 year BATTLE with diabetes]

This is my 3rd tattoo, I got it when I was 16 (I've been getting jailhouse tatts since i was 14, this was my first "real" one)

This is old work. Done by an artist who was out of jail for a few months. It was done with a single neddle home made gun and it took about 5 hours to do. I think I was 20 years old when this was done. Please notice the armour on its tail. its so nobody will came up behind him and cut his tail off. I do need this touched up. My wifes artist wont work on other artit's prior work so I guess I need to find a new artist.

This is my latest tattoo. My 7th I think.
Just got it.

It says only the strong survive. I just recently got this one (Mid March). This is my first tattoo. It's over my ribs on my right side. I think i'm going to add my date my diganosis and my date of celiac diganoses (if it were to happen which would be tomorrow..) Since the tattoo was in meaning of my life struggle with diabetes. But we will see.
my permanent medic alert bracelet :)
its funny, i work at a starbucks, we arent supposed to have visible tattoos, i use the excuse, "what if i passed out while working and my coworkers forget im diabetic?!" aha. its so much fun hearing all the positive feedback from customers!! its been a nice conversation starter, getting to hear other stories from customers who are either diabetic or know someone who is!

Hello all! Just got home from my tattoo appointment and it turned out better than I imagined. I will post a new picture when it heals up but I just can't not share this till then, I am soooo excited! I will do a full blog post soon to share the back story, stay tuned!

awwwww! That's adorable, and really well done.
Thanks! Now I am in the peely snake skin phase of the healing but I do have to say that tattoos heal ALOT better if you have good BG control. This one is healing 10 times faster than my other ones that I got when my a1c was through the roof!
That is SO CUTE!! Love it!
