It always bugged my hubby that I never wore anything to ID me as a Diabetic - he was always worried something would happen and the absence of that ID would make it worse or more complicated...anywways...when I joined this site I saw all the medi-alert tattoos and felt the need to whack myself - how could I have not thought of that before??? LOL!! So, my husband suggested I go for it (since I already have a lot of ink) and my friend (who does my work) and I came up with a cuff-style bracelet...

they can be addicting, but each piece i have has deep, deep meaning for me (even thr butterflies on the mdei-alert one have a super significant meaning, down to the way they are coloured, lol!) and i have a stockpile of sketches/ideas just recently found someone i trust to do it (had a great artist 8 years ago, but he left the province...then i met my friend lo and she is a tattoo artist, so i've put my skin in her hands...literally!)...
the pheonix is a really cool idea!!
