This is my diabolic tattoo. I kept it simple, so it could be seen & understood easily. That said, I was arrested for being drunk & disorderly a few years back whilst badly hypo. I hadn't had a drop, needless to say. I was just incoherent, scared silly & getting aggressive with the idiot cops. The desk sergeant said "You're taking the mick." & threw me in the cells. It didn't end well. On the other hand, it has saved my bacon on several occasions.

I have eight other tattoos & plan a lot more. I have never had any trouble getting them as I have told the tattooist when I booked & they have all been fine. I make sure my glucoses are ok before & during the longer ones & take good care of the ink afterwards. I'm not sure how my healing compares to others, although I found Preparation H ointment helps a lot.

This is my first post here. Hi to all my fellow diabolics here!

My tattoo artist when we first met went through the usual questionarre of what are you allergic to, do you take blood thinners, are you diabetic, what color underwear are you wearing etc; haha and I told him I had diabetes and he was like, yeah so did like 4 other people I tattooed this week, your fine just keep it under control. haha I was so happy that he didn't make a huge deal like my old piercer did. I love my tattoos, going for #6 getting "Type One" tattoo across my stomach <3 lol

Love the typestyle!! I've always gotten the tattoo and then told my doctor. I must be lucky mine heal very quickly. He wasn't thrilled about the ankle tats, but didn't say much. My mom passed away with cancer at 51 in '99 and every year since except this past year I've gotten a tat on the anniv. of her passing. Kinda trading one pain for another. Family thinks I'm crazy but it works for me. My last one was the diabetic tat. I will try to post.
