My father (T1 for 37 years) died in 2003 at age 61 after suffering from many complications for years. I love him and miss him deeply.

Lost both my grangfather and his mother to the disease,both died from complications,lost limbs and toes.they were T1.I know how hard the disease is nad what complications could arise.

I learned on FB , that member Anya has passed away , Aug 9 .I feel terrible, that we never connected . . ..I copied and pasted some parts from her FB page : " Barbara's service will be held on Monday, August 15th at 11am at First Memorial…she lived in the same Community I do

In Memoriam

My mother (Type 2) died in October 2004 from a diabetic stroke at age 63

My father (LADA) died in January 2009 after living with diabetes for 25 years at age 73

My maternal Grandmother (type 1) died in January 1996 at age 78

*My younger Brother(Type 1) who died in 2005 at age 49.

*A Family Friend(Type 1) who died in 1970 at age 13.

*My Friend's Brother(Type 1) who died in 1976 at age 21.

*My Aunt(Type 2) who died in 1998 at age 68.

*My Uncle(Type 2) who died in 1987 at age 60.

*My Uncle(Type 2) who died in 1990 at age 58.

*My Uncle(Type 2) who died at age 56 in 1985.

*My Hubby's Aunt(not sure/Gestational on Insulin) who died in 1988 at age 44.
