I found this at www.thorpe-products.com, they sell it for $9.50 on paypall.

It looks like you enter the BG, insulin/carb ratio, grams of carbohydrates and post injection exercise (from none to light exercise to very heavy exercise).

The instructions says it automatically subtracts BG from "105" - target blood sugar level. I do not know if this 105 has previously been put in by user and can change - or is hard coded to the machine. My target is usually 120, 130 overnight.

Then it divides by "55" - say to get the total insulin requirement for the high BG. Again I do not know if this 55 is hard coded to the machine - which could not be individualized - or if you originally input it in.

What makes me think the 2 numbers 105 and 55 are hard coded, is that you have to every time enter your insulin/carb ratio.

Although inexpensive (great), I have to ask my instructor that if these 2 numbers are hard coded in the machine - if it will be worth getting.

I've used this. It looks like a normal calculator but does not work like a normal calculator. To answer your question, YES 105 & 55 are indeed hard coded into the calculator.
