It's hard to believe that there is only 10 of us on here..

Any ways I was just wondering if we could have a roll call...

I am Sarah, 26, type one, just started pumping a little over a week ago. I have been diabetic for 14 years.. I am married and have two wonderful little girls. I live in a little town in north west Iowa..

I'm Lizmari, 33, type two. I was diagnosed November 17 of this yearm (2009). Diabetes, however, has been a long part of my family. My my dad, my grandfather, and 5 uncles have died from Diabetic complications. My brother and myself both have the disease, now. I am married to a wonderful man who also has Diabetes, and we have one cat (which is like our child). lol :) I live in Ames, Iowa... but I'm originally from Puerto Rico. I came to Iowa State University back in '94, and I've stuck around. :)

I just barely discovered tudiabetes, and it's really neat... I love being able to talk to people who care about taking care of themselves, and want to support each other.
Welcome.. I have been a member here for about 2weeks and I love it.. When you have questions there is always some one who can answer them for you or help you find the answer..
I am Ahmad, 28, type one, have D for 26 years, (never know how life without it!)....Married and have 2 kids, a boy and a girl. Live in Ames, IA and attending ISU for my graduate studies.

Nice move Sarah, I tried in the past to make a meet up some where, but all of us got busy with life and was gone with the wind!
Maybe some time when the weather is alot nicer... I am so tried of snow!!!!!
I'm Melanie, 27, type one, diagnosed in March 2009. But, like Lizmari, diabetes is also a pretty part of my family--I have two cousins with type one and an uncle who died from complications of type one. I'm orginially from St. Louis, but I moved to Iowa last August, and now I live in North Liberty and work in Cedar Rapids.
I have a sister who is also type one. Out of five kids two of us are diabetic.. Weird I know.. We were both diagnosed between the ages 11 and 12 and we are 9 years apart. There is no other diabetics is our family. So we always wonder where it came from and where it's going.. I worry for my kids or my grandkids but by then we will have a CURE!!!

Elizabeth, 28, non-d... my son 5yrs old type 1 (techinically type 1B for all intensive purposes type 1) for 4 years... pumping... been a part of tu for a little over a year now... getting ready to make a move to DSM from Las Vegas, NV
