I try to balance my blood sugars in Des Moines :-)
I live in Solon, and work in Cedar Rapids. I'm up for a meeting at some point - when are you all thinking?
I believe I missed that, but we can meet any where not just in Des Moines, I enjoy driving on the highway and taking road trips. I would not mind driving to Iowa City which I did in the past. Am not sure how big we are, but I would be happy to give a left to anyone on my way to the meeting place :)

Also, may be we can visit each others cities, one time in Des Moines another in Solon or Cedar Rapids!
I live in hubbard 35 miles ne of ames
I live in Ames.
Yo. You are all welcome to gather sometime at my place in Iowa City. Big living room and big deck.
I would love to meet up but I live any where near any of you!!! I was wondering if every one plans on going to the TCOYD can we all meet up then?
Iowa City -- near intersection of I-80 and 380/ 218. 90 miles east of Des Moines.
I don't drive much @ night anymore so the event's schedule will determine if I'm driving (back) ;;; maybe I'll just drive 4 of us THERE and we can Walk back. You know-- a Find(fund)-a-Cure Diabetes walkathon.

Editing: Hmmm -- that was supposed to be a Little mugface image.
Hello, everyone. I am VERY new here to TuDiabetes, and still finding my way around and reading here whenever I can squeeze in the time! :) I am living presently in Williamsburg, home fo the Tanger Outlet Mall -- you may be familiar with that! However, in the next few months, I will be moving just east of Des Moines in Prairie City, and getting married sometime yet in 2010! I grew up in Iowa City and work in Iowa City for now, and in Des Moines every weekend. How's that for traveling across a good chunk of our area weekly?? :)

Marsha

PS: Nice to see another Marsha from Iowa here, too! :)
I am living in Clear Lake. Don't have a clue why it is called that as you can't ever see the bottom of it.

Hello all... I am not new to Tu or to Diabetes but will shortly be somewhat new to IA... me personally I grew up there (in Des Moines) as did my husband, currently we live in Las Vegas, NV but will more than likely be making the move to Des Moines in the early spring... my questions are not geared toward adults living with t1 in the DSM area but rather children, as it is our 5yr old son that has t1, any help regarding school systems, nurse to school ratios, student teacher ratios, support groups etc would be very helpful, aslo advice on a great ped endo would be helpful :-) thank you
