well i keep asking my doctors office they say that they have had them before but people just get to busy to meet and to keep up the meetings, so you let me know where people meet here in des moines, one lady from michigan started a support group or just to hang out and talk at a starbucks in her area.

Derry, thats not true.....I went to TCOYD last Saturday and had the chance to meet Kelly from DSM and another lady from the area, Kim from NE and even 2 ppl from KS and 1 from MN....
Des Moines is in the middle of the mid west (KS,MN, NE) and am sure that we will meet again soon..... I been trying and will continue trying gathering the D people in the mid west....It only needs a commitment and welling to meet without giving excuses!

Thats great to see you starting up something in ames there doesn't seem to be much around the Des Moines area for support groups good to know others that have something in common with me and others out there. thanks

I made a group for Diabetics in Ames, Iowa. I just really want to try to meet people in my area more... It's called Ames Diabetics.
