I would think so, but it's your doctor that will have the best opinion. The I-Port is not insulin/diabetes specific.

I am being moved off insulin...thank god, but can anyone tell me if I can continue to use I-Port's with Byetta injections.

Today is my second day with an I-Port and I love it. I have some challenges with injecting into my skin and this is the best solution until I get my pump in the new year. Still trying to figure out how to get my hands on them to buy them and how expensive they are going to be, but I can`t imagine they are any worse than infusion sets! I live in a small city so I have limited shopping options and my pharmacy says they can`t get them, so I`m still looking.

I can't really complain that I take 5 shots a day some people do it a lot more, but I really want this even if my insurance doesn't cover it all I would pay the extra. I've seen something similar to this and i'm working on getting information. I dont live in Canada but if I did...

today is my first day *testing* out the i-port. My first injection into the port burned like a mofo. I'm still thinking positive about this. Does anyone who currently uses this have any pointers for me? I used a pump for years, but ran into so many problems that I had to try something different.

Yes I called the other day and they were going to send them till he asked for my ins info so I decided to just wait because I dont want to do try them then not be ble to get them. I have tryed to get it in the past with no luck but thinking of trying to get it again.

Definitely have Customer Care send your doctor some samples. Unfortunately there isn't a patient assistance program, but you can discuss options with Customer Care. Have you tried applying for Medicare? I know it's all a long complicated process! Good Luck.

Ok thank you so much I have talked to her about them and she is not sure about them so I might try to see if they can send them to her for me to try out. Do you know if they have a patient assistance program? I do not have any ins at this time so I am getting all of my meds through patient assistance programs.

Hi Morggirl - I am so glad you found the i-port Group! It sounds like the i-port could be a great resource for you. You can call i-port Customer Care at 877-763-7678 to see if your physician is on file and has samples. Customer Care can also send samples to your physician for you to try to see if you like the i-port. They are available Monday-Friday 7a-7p CST and Saturdays, 9a-2p. Good Luck!

So O just joined the group today and have learned a lot about it. It sounds like a great way to go. For the past 6 months I have been taking my shots in my upper legs and upper arms because my insulin was not absorbing in my belly correctly. Therefor I am so very sore and bruised, as well as getting little knots were I inject. I am trying to get on a pump but I don't have any ins so that is not looking good then I stumbled on this group and got some hope. I have already printed off the paper work and faxed it over to the dr office and plain to call her in the morning to see what she thinks about using them.
So if anyone has any input please let me know : )
