Comment by Sheila Fitz on December 8, 2012 at 1:03pm I'm a LADA diabetic American, and I want to join because the only reason I found out that I was diabetic was because I was afraid of Celiac and being Irish. I had genetic testing for my children and grandchildren. I don't have Celiac, but I did develop Type 1 at 56yo. BTW, we have a strong Irish community in the southwest side of Chicagoland. We hold the biggest Irish parade in the US. My grandfather was a former Irish Christian Brother.
