It's been a while since I've posted!
Ali,
I attend UCH Galway and they were the very ones that trained me. I do however know for a fact they found it very difficult to get the funding for me. I was their first trainee for the pump and it took a few months to get it all paid for. That was about two and a half years ago, so I can only imagine the funding has gotten worse.
Don't give up though! They are super at the clinic and I'm sure if they knew they could get the funding it wouldnt be an issue.
On another note,
I must laugh at myself because the last time I posted was because my pump stopped working! The Bolus botton froze on me. And guess what, it happened to me again tonight. ARG. Cue trip to Emergency for syringes till I can get to the chemist tomorrow (I'm away from home so didnt have my back up..bold!).
Just wondering has anyone had issues with their pumps? This is my second MM522 in just over 2 years with the exact same issue. Wondering should I insist on a new make/model? Although with the funding it probably wont be possible :(
