Not yet, but I have some hope that maybe I will be able to get an Omnipod when they make it to Canada. I found out that my insurance coverage through the provincial disability benefits will pay for "disposable" devices, and since the Omnipod is disposable, they might actually pay for it. If not, hopefully I will be able to get a job with benefits that will pay for it or at least for part of it.

I have an Animas 2020, which seems to be in the minority here on TuDiabetes. I'm very happy with it - only mad that they came out with a pink one on the Monday after I ordered mine! It comes with a food library where you can choose food items and it already has the carbs stored.

The OmniPod was one of my choices, but the little things that stick to you body (not the technical term, I know, but my mind is cloudy right now - lol) were very expensive.

I've been on a Minimed pump since Nov of 2001. Started out on the 508, but upgraded to the 722 last year, which can be expanded later to add the CGMS option. While it hasn't made my control perfect, I do like the flexibility the pump provides and it does seem to cover the basal periods with more precision.

I just started using the Insulet OmniPod last week, after 24+ years of 4-6 shots a day. So far, I like the pod.

Yes, a MiniMed 715 - it's my second 715. I had a 508 previously.
The 715 is reliable and familiar.

Animas 2020 (blue model) for one month today. After 20+ years of MDI, I love my pump! My blood sugars are doing great and I'm ready to see what my A1C will be in a couple of months (was 8.8 in May).

Getting the pump was the best decision I've made in my diabetes treatment - EVER.

I have been on Minimed pumps for 24 years. I currently wear the 522. I have had diabetes for 38 years. Which pump did you go on and why did you change from Minimed?

Have used MM pumps for 8 years. Started on the 508, then migrated to the 715. My warranty is up this month and I hope to get an OmniPod soon.

I'm on the Minimed 722.....I think the Omnipod looks interesting but the MM works well for me. As soon as I can talk to someone at the insurance company about coverage I want to add the CGMS for better control.

I'm on the Cozmo now but getting a Animas Ping next week... keeping my Cozmo though too. :) Also have a MM511 Paradigm I dont use. I'm sooo over minimed. Once you have a waterproof pump you'll never go back. :)

22 years and no problems so far!

I have an insulin pump. I was on the paradigm 715 but recently got the new paradigm with the continous glucose monitoring system. It is nice...when it works. I should have gone with my gut instinct and gone with another company other than Minimed.
