has any body heard about or had this new flu that is going around the town we live in has had LOTS of cases of it and it is aparently VERY contagious though the hospitol seems not to care my feancee was very verbal though nothing he said made sence to any body but me so i translated for 3 days and the doctors just got his bg down along with his key-tones down and sent him home even though he was still vomiting had a fever, diareha and was coughing his white cell count was up as well as his liver ensymes though when we took him back they took his blood sugar said it was a bit high gave him insulin and discharged him again and its the only one we can get to with our car. has any body else had this flu how long did it last hes tired all the time and hes the one suposed to watch our son while im at work though i have taken a week off in hopes he might be better by then he dosent seem to be getting better though he is understandable now. any help is welcome he cant manage to keep his bg in the normal range as is being sick just makes it worse and hes always queesy when his bg is up. i really hope it all passes the hole family has it but he seems to be the worst.

i know i kind of rambled nut im worried hes frequently in the hospitol enough that when he goes in they say are you back again cory or ask if hes not inteligable like he was last time they ask how i know him though they should know me as well by now.

Hi, there is a virus going around, vomiting, direhha, fever, coughing, etc. Your doctor should know it It is around all the states. I would give him a LOT of fluids to make up for what he is losing..one week is not enough to get over it, I would say more like 3....good luck...get another doctor if you can...

unfortunately there are limited doctors that have a low sliding scale fee he cant get on state medical because of extenuating circumstances so we are limited in the doctors he can go to with the money we make, how ever it wasn't his normal doctor that was being stupid it was the hospital they should know the signs especially since they had a 17 year old boy die from it the same day he went into the er, because he was sick my mom was looking it up in the CDC web page its a new strain of the tummy flu and it (for a non diabetic) will last a week how ever you are contagious for a week before you see signs and 2 weeks after not sure how long he will be but i know it will be at least a bit different as hes had symptoms for 2 weeks not just the 1 week they said though so have the rest of us but we are tapering off quicker then he is we all seem to be getting better even him how ever the CDC page said its highly contagious and that we can get it again even after just having it so we are being careful and not sharing drinks and things like that not kissing (though the toddler isn't happy with this )were trying hard to keep from getting sick again especially him.
