If it wasn't for her pocket book I don't know where I would carry my kit. Does anyone else use this "carrying case"?

Kenneth, you've stumbled upon the Married Man's Secret Weapon, feigning helplessness so the wife will carry the man's stuff. And now you know why women carry such big purses. :D
That's how they cxoined the word murse. Actually I use an organizer from Medtronic.
Well my wife stays as far from diabetes as she can. After over 25 years of insulin, she had to learn to give me shots while I recovered from a shoulder surgery. NOTHING of mine hitch hikes in her purse. I use a wal-mart/sams meter, is compact, strips are single foil sealed in pages of 5 per page, holds the mter and lancet, log and more; all that in a package that fits in any shirt or pants pocket.

This post made me LOL :)

Sometimes I find myself so frustrated with carrying all of this D-Related crap in the gigantic purse that I HAVE TO carry because of it that I give something to my Hubby and tell him to carry it! LOL

Especially when he keeps asking me what Dex says! "you wanna know, you carry him!"
I am on the pump and i carry extra supplies in a small cooler type bag.It goes everywhere i go .It also carries skittles for lows too.Never know when you might need something .Always be ready for anything is my way of thinking.
'honey, can you put this (insulin, syringes, meter) in your purse?'
'sure, I just have to take my wallet out to make room. I'll put it in the glove box.'
'oh, that's okay, i'll just put my stuff in my pockets'
it's a win win- either i carry his stuff and he has to pay for everything or i don't have to carry his stuff:)
When I'm with my wife I usually throw the stuff in her purse. Other wise everything is loose in my pants pocket, In 55 years as a Type 1 I have never used a case. Sometimes I will throw the stuff into my computer case. I also think I don't carry nearly as much as most.
Hello Ken:

Almost never. By the time I actually got to the bottom of her purse, I could build a small house from what I found in there !

Simple fanny pack, In truth I also sometimes go just with my pen, and nothing more. If more is/were "required" not wild about someone else carrying what I might want or need.

You men are so funny. Haven't you seen the "man bags" on the Progressive Ins commericals....I just love it. But I tell my dh that's why I have to have a big bag, so I can carry my stuff or he'd have to have a man bag.....to help;.
Actually..as I recall, the word "PURSE" is French and MASCULIN, not feminin........

Some of this is too funny.....

Actually hubby and I reached an understanding, I use a huge purse and he usually carries it. Our kids are grown now but t was too much to carry a diaper bag and purse so i cmbined it in one bag. He eats more of my snacks then me and he drinks more of the bottled water. Yes I could live for a week with my purse.
My husband puts his kit in my purse...when I take one. I'm not big on taking a purse with me everywhere, but don't mind at all being the "keeper of the kit!" I generally also have room to put a bottle of juice in there too...just in case.
