I will be organizing regional meet ups throughout the summer.
Some of the locations I am looking at are:
*Ann Arbor
*Battle Creek/ Kalamazoo
*Tri county area- Wayne, Oakland, Macomb county area (Barb did a great job with this area, if you want Barb, you can organize this one!)**possibly Flint
**possibly Grand Rapids

Possible dates:
*Lansing- June 5th/6th
*Ann Arbor- June 19/20th
*Battle Creek/ Kalamazoo- July 9th/10th
*Tri county area- Wayne, Oakland, Macomb county area- June 19th/20th (opposite day of Ann Arbor) or sometime late July or August
**possibly Flint
**possibly Grand Rapids
If you are interested in any of those locations, please send me a message stating what meet up. If these dates don't work, I'm open to suggestions

Also, if you are not near these areas and would still like to be included, feel free to organize your own meet up and post it in this group or let me know when it is and I'll include it in this area.
if you are not near these areas and no one else lives near you, we can include you in these groups as well...I do have a webcam and we can always connect via skype or yahoo or msn messenger too

Trying to get an Adult D-Community more coordinated and organized, as my wife and I are planning to move back to Oakland/Macomb this summer. I will be at JDRF TypeOneNation conference in May, so that could be a good time to meetup for some of us. Also, the Facebook group for Southeast Michigan Adult Diabetes Community could be a good way to connect with more D-peeps.

Does anyone in southeast michigan ever do meetups or get togethers? In search of a good support team

Yes. That's quite a hike. I would be willing to travel an hour or less. Maybe we can get some more people going on this. That would be great!

I organized a get together a while ago. Started out with 6-7 but fell off to just 2 or 3. Haven't attempted it again. We kept it simple, met at Starbucks on Sat. or Sun. afternoons. I'm from Lake Orion, 38 years T1. Would like to try meeting with others again. I'm thinking about going in to the Ann Arbor UofM T1 meet up held at Domino Farms but it's just so far!

Hi Guys. I just joined this community and love it already. I am currently living in Wixom, which is close to Novi. I saw that there have been some support groups set up, but was wondering if we were still doing them? Or if people would be interested in getting one started? If so, let me know! :o) Hope everyone is having a Happy Holiday season!

Hey Anna, I'm in Lansing, age 24. :-) Not quite, but close!

Is there anyone around the Grand Rapids area on here! Maybe even close to 20 years old.
