Thanks, that's what I've read, but the Medtronics rep in India tells me otherwise. Perhaps its lost in translation!

You should listen the medtronic rep.
Remember that what comunicates with the pump is the minilink not the sensor.

It was my rep who said the Enlite is for the Veo only...now that may be one of those FDA approval things like only 3 days for the current cgm and we know we can get 6 but....the official word is that Enlite is for Veo.

Thank you both very much for your input. I spoke to the rep again. Duarte is correct, it's the transmitter that matters, not the pump. Neither here or there, I do feel kind of stupid about this, I had the darn VEO all along. Nothing on the pump indicates it's a "VEO"! I was leafing through the manual yesterday and the title of the first chapter reads "Introducing the VEO"! I have to admit, being new to this, I find all these product names very confusing. I'm getting the sensors on Friday....wow, they are kind of pricy at $60.00 a pop! I hope they are better than the soft sensors! Thank you for taking the time to provide me with your comments!

Although neither is approved in the US, I was asking our rep because what if I wanted to switch sensors but keep same pump. BTW the transmitter for the Enlite is supposed to be smaller as well. Anyway, he said Enlite was designed for Veo. But as I said, we in the US know that the way the FDA approves it isn't always the way it can be used in the real world!

I guess I have the transmitter that came with the VEO. Not sure if the enlite is available in Canada yet though, I was only able to get the soft sensors there. I moved to India 4 months ago, and all they sell here is the Enlite...they have discontinued the soft sensors. I do hope they have improved!

The insertion of the sensors improbe alot , much better now and the way we keep sensor and minilink close to the body have improved to now you only need to small tapes that come with sensor.
Anout accuracy of sensor i didn´t notice any improvements , but i cn´t complaint about ,meter and sensor most of the time match the values.
The accuracy of sensors varies from person to person and how stables there bg are.

The minilink is the same and it is compatible with both sensors ,there is no new smaller minilink . If you get access to the enlite sensor and atached onu to your minilink it will fuction correctly .

Thanks for your comments, I look forward to receive the new sensors. I am a little disappointed though that there is no real improvement in accuracy. I find that I get real odd readings now, often at least by two (20 decimals) points off. For instance, this morning my meter read 5.9, but sensor registered 8.0.--pleased that it wasn't the other way around though! Perhaps I'm calibrating too often. Thanks again.

I received the Enlite sensors with the inserter last week. I inserted it on Saturday...I'm on day 4 now...and WOW...the accuracy is incredible! I'm in love with them! The insertion was easy as well. I placed it behind my upper arm, easy to do with the inserter. Perhaps that is why I get accurate numbers, I never got such accurate numbers with the old sensors which were always inserted to my abdomen! The only difficulty in inserting behind my arm was putting on the adhesive tape...with the willing help of my ten year old daughter, I was set to go! I love it!!! I hope to keep it on for much longer than 6 days, I hear that's possible...because at 60 dollars a pop, it can get pretty expensive...and my insurance doesn't cover it!
I hope FDA and Health Canada approve it soon. Good luck!
