I attempted to install the software this morning and after an hour of it saying "please wait" I gave up and went to work. Did it take anybody else a long time to load it all?

I started on the pump about 3 months ago, I was having the same problem with Java, I called minimed, they had it fixed in less then 5 minutes. The disk they send you does not help with this java problem, the USB is simply wireless communication.

Aha! I'm not the only one. I installed the updated Java ok, then went on to the next step; and waited.....and waited......eventually getting a message that the page was not available? So, I have an e mail in to Medtronics. I'll let you know once we fix it.

Samantha, I had a Win XP machine and it worked fine albeit slow. I upgraded to Win 7 on a new computer, and the driver would not work. Carelink is very finicky. As others have pointed out, you must have the right version of Java, and realy an Explorer browser. Also, if you Win 7, do not plug in the USB device until Carelink downloads the driver.

I finally got the driver loaded, but it took a good long time. Let it run if you can. It does run a bit faster on Win 7. The report generation, that is. The data download from the pump will still take 5 minutes...

I found out, that it does that to me when I use internet explorer. When I signed in using mozilla, no problems.
