I USE SOF-SET BECAUSE I CANNOT DO THE QUICK-SET NOR THE MIO WHICH I WOULD LOVE TO. MY NURSE ADUCATOR( WHOM I DON'T SEE ANYMORE) MEDICARE DOES NOT PAY FOR IT ANYMORE,WORKED TO HELP ME BUT MY FINGERS CANNOT DO IT.

do you have arthritis in fingers?

Hi, I used to use Sof-sets, followed by Quick-sets, now Sure-Ts. The Sure-T is way less complicated than the Sof-set; you just use your fingers to push in a metal needle. If for some reason this set isn't working, you can just pull out the needle and push it somewhere else (taping it down with cloth tape)rather than removing the whole infusion set. Since I don't know the Mio, maybe what I'm saying is irrelevant! Best wishes.

MIO IS COMPLICATED TO OPEN & SO IS KWIK SET.SOF SET GIVES ME NO PROBLEM.I HAVE NEUROPATHY IN MY HANDS & ALSO HAD CARPAL TUNNEL.THAT IS THE REASON I CANNOT DO CERTAIN THINGS EVEN THOUGH I AM VERY HANDY.

Hi shoshana. You could ask Medtronics to send you a samples of Sure-Ts; I personally found that they really are good about sending samples.

I got Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis at the age of 12, so now my hands are quite arthritic. I think that using the computer works out to be good exercise for them, which is really nice! When I finish with the computer, I exercise my hands for a while with those little plastic balls made for that purpose.

I realize we have different problems, and send my very best wishes to you. It is admirable that you are able to overcome the problems to be able to use the pump. I use my MM522 part-time; when I put on an infusion my husband's help is invaluable.
