Hi, everyone. My daughters paradigm 722 pump just gave her a motor error. I cleared the alarm, rewound the pump, primed it, did a fix prime and got it working. Has this ever happened to anyone. I'm from Venezuela. That's where I got the pump, but I'm on vacation in Miami. This worries me, because I still have a week + before I go back home. Should I call Minimed and tell them about this error?

Definitely be careful! Especially when doing a manual prime. Make sure she is disconnected when you do it because sometimes the motor error means the sensor that tells it when to stop is broken and it can push a lot of insulin through without you really noticing.

You should definitely call Minimed still and explain everything to them. They are really good about shipping you a pump even when you are away from home! And since you are in the US I doubt it'll take longer than a day to get it. :)
Thank you, Colleen for your prompt anwser. I will call Minimed and explain the situation to them. This really worries and scares me.
It could be nothing, or it could be a very serious error. I would definitely call MM just to be sure.
Agree with the other comments. They may dismiss it as "user error" (or a bad reservoir) and not send a replacement pump if it happens once, but at least it's on record, so if you have another problem, they can see a pattern and send a replacement.
I agree, the only time it happened to me was a bad reservoir
I'm considering a Revel as my next pump.
Is this still an ongoing issue for MM because I keep reading about these errors?
Any info would be helpful!
Hi, again. I did call Minimed and reported the error. The person who attended to me was very kind and helpful and we ran on the phone several tests on the pump. Apparently it was something random, but she told me that if it happens again, the pump needs to be replaced. She also adviced me to change the entire infusion set. So far, no more alarms, thank God!!
