Next Generation Pump Pre-Market Approval Application Filed With FDA
Minimed has filed for pre-market approval of the next generation pump that incorporates low glucose suspend - a feature that stops basal temporarily when a continuous glucose monitor determines that blood glucose is below a set limit. Designated the MinimedR 530G system, it is substantially similar to their device marketed overseas and known as the "Veo" system.
Also included in the application is the "Enlite" sensor. It is designed to be smaller, more easily inserted and more accurate than the Continuous Glucose Sensor currently in use in the United States!

Great News! Thank you for posting! I'm excited about the system upgrades :) I love medtronic and I believe its the best insulin pump company out there! Im looking forward to their version of the Omnipod ;-)
