At least now I know not to pull the plunger out of the reservoir! I should have done my homework Insulin everywhere...
happened to my daughter....and sometimes the plunger is unscrewed a little bit...be careful! But glad you are having good results. We love the pump!
Ack! Smells like bandaids!!
P.S. I learned to always check to be sure my plunger would unscrew and screw back in firmly before I got started. For awhile the Medtronic ones had a bit of a problem with that.
It was sooo stinky! Thanks for the advice guys :) You live and you learn.
Glad you're getting good results! The pump is the ONLY way to go... and you'll be able to fine tune your control after getting used to it.
This just happened to me..a gross insulin explosion. I'm starting back up on the pump after only using it prior for a couple of months. I've always had problems with filling the reservoir. So once the plunger pops out then that reservoir can no longer be used?? I can send it back to medtronic right? (to exchange it for a new one)...
that hasn't happened to me yet.
i have forgotten to double check the lancet setting and had it all the way up, at the same time being fortunate enough to hit a small artery. that was fun messy.
