I tend to do well with difficult concepts and tend to over think easy ones. So here is my stupid question. When I need to change my battery, will I need to re-program my settings such as my basals etc?
Also, I went on a lengthy jog this afternoon and then did a few floor exercises. I was quit sweaty (its 75 here in STL) and ended up loosing my infusion set. What tricks are there to make it stick better? I went ahead and put Opsite Flexifix around the edges of the site, so this one will hopefully not go anywhere.
And...could I have re-used the reservoir today, and just changed the set? I have wasted to much insulin in the past 24 hours...lol.

As far as the battery goes as long as you change the battery quickly your settings are intact and do not need to be reset. Just have the battery ready, you can swap them out in 1 minute or less. As far as the perspiration, I have the same issue and usually wear a layer that is tighter and absorbent, I use the Under Armor shirts, they work well, have never lost a set, it will absorb all the perspiration. Also, you may find a site where sweat doesnt accumulate as easily, such as left and right vs. center belly (thats just me). You'll have to experiment a bit and find out what works. And yes on the insulin reuse, but you will have parts of the set that will be unused, since the tubing comes sealed inside with the set. I have done this a few times and just have extra tubing that goes unused. Hope this helps! Good luck you'll get it after a few months.

I put the new one on the shelf and stand right by the wastebasket when I do. Old one thrown away, new one in - done.
I used to use I.V. Prep sticky wipes before putting on my infusion set. You can order them online or your pharmacy will order them for you. They work pretty well and might help. I've never had much trouble with this so maybe others can help.
My son uses skin prep to keep his infusion sets sticking and he will finish a reservoir by just changing his infusion site and giving a fixed prime to fill the canula. He mostly uses silhouette sets, so we always include one box of tubeless with our quarterly order.
Never had a problem losing pump data in 5+ years of use, but do keep a most recent printout of your device settings so that you can easily re-establish settings should you encounter a problem. With a printout of device setting, it was very easy to set-up and verify settings on a replacement pump when his was upgraded last spring.
