TuDiabetes - A Community for People Touched by Diabetes

Liberty Medical, my supplier, is unable to deliver even one box of quicksets. They say they have no inventory on hand., I called Medtronic and they told me that they are only giving people tensets at a time. I checked Medtronic's web site and found that they have almost no sure-ts or silhouettes either. What are we supposed to do? I went on the pump because it was supposed to make life easier. Now I have to be stressed about running out of supplies. This company is not very good, is it,

I spoke to medtronic today and they lied to me and said they only ship ten sets at a time themselves. Apparently, that is not so and they are just shorting their outside suppliers. However, the medtronic order site does say that they have liimited quantities of all the infusion sets I referred to on hand themselves. I don't get it.

They may only ship 1 box at a time, but this is dependent on several issues. I received 4 boxes, as I returned my all my recalled sets, as well as 2 boxes of Silhouettes that were not inserting properly. One thing to realize, the recall hit them really hard. They are trying to ship out to meet the needs of all the pumpers as well as take care of those with recurring technical issues. Medtronic has an automatic system that will send the shipments PRIOR to you running out. I am by no means a Medtronic "fanboy" however, I've tried the other side of the fence and ended up coming back. If you still have the name and email of your pump representative you can share with them your concerns in which will be passed up the ladder.

Thank you. Unfortunately, my insurance requires that I be supplied through Liberty Medical and they get the infusion sets from Medtronic. They are unable to get a sufficient supply.
