I have had an Energizer Ultimate Lithium in my Revel since February 3rd, and it still is reading full power. I stumbled across these things at Walmart at the beginning of the month (when my pump died on me), and noticed the text "Lasts up to 9x longer." I have no interest in promoting any products nor do I have stock in Energizer. It was just so annoying that I would have to change out batteries every two weeks.

Thanks for the tip! I usually use just regular Energizer batteries and have to change my battery about once a month. I may have to try the Lithium ones!
Permalink Reply by Sheri on February 28, 2012 at 1:35pm Jon, I don't know about them lasting 9 times longer, but they have definitely at least doubled the amount of time between battery changes for me. Even though Medtronic does not promote using the Energizer Lithium battery, I have always used one in my Revel, and it lasts for 2-3 months or longer, each time I change it. And I don't ever let it run all the way down, I always change it when it first goes down one bar. I sure won't go back to having to change my battery every 2-4 weeks when I can get 2-3 months,or more, with these Lithium wonders!
STOP!!!!!! TAKE IT OUT IMMEDIATLY!! and replace with regular alkaline battery!! i used the lithium batteries in my sons pump and thought it was amazing too. it lasted MUCH longer than the regular battery did. however one day it went from all the bars on the battery indicater to ZERO completely DEAD! with no warning. the bigger problem was when i went to change it the battery comparttment would NOT open. i called Medtronic and was told that i CAN'T use lithium! the battery apparantly gets too hot and melts the inside of the pump battery compartment. thankfully they didnt tell me it voided the warranty and they just sent me another pump the next morning.
the funny part of the story is that they told me when i send back the broken pump i MUST take out the battery in order to ship it. I TOLD THEM THAT IS THE WHOLE REASON WHY I'M GETTING A NEW ONE!!! :)
Well let me take this down then!
