Other than the smaller delivery increments, is there anything significant for the non CGMS user in the MM 523 over the 522? My warranty expires in April 2013 and I don't really want to fork out $2,000 for a replacement pump.

Does anyone know how NovaRapid compares to Humalog as far as stability in warmer temperatures?

Regarding Humalog vs Novolog- I am a distance cyclist/racer and switched from Novolog to Humalog because I read a clinical paper somewhere along the line that suggested it is more stable with variable temperature regimes. I do report that this has been true, and Humalog in hot climates when I do foreign travel is another reason I stick with it.

Anyone notice a difference between Humalog and Novolog? I have always been on Humalog but due to new insurance I had to switch to Novolog. I have noticed that for me at least the Novolog is way faster and stronger I have been running some tests on my Basals by setting them 10-15% back and my sugar is staying stable. I have also changed my carb ratio from 1/13 to 1/16 and my sensitvity factor from 50 to 60. Seems to be doing the trick. The first day I was on Novolog my sugar dropped after each meal really fast, I caught it because I have the sensor. Anyone else have this?

Now that I have that new battery cap, started with another new sensor and it ran fine for a few hours, calibrating sucessfully. In the past half hour though, I got "weak signal" , for 30 mins; then "lost sensor". so I had it "find lost sensor" and then the thing gave me a "hi Alert". for the next 10 mins, now it shows "weak signal" again. Recently, Medtronic gave me a new transmitter because they thought that was the cause of this continually erratic perfromance but, after just a week, we're back at the same old game.
Prior to that, I had periods where the monitor would show only one bar remaining, on the battery status icon; then later in the day it would miraculously show that the battery must have re-charged itself, with 4 or 5 bars. Medtronic replaced the whole 723 pump/ monitor at that time.

Anyone else having similar problems??

Darndest thing: This weekend, I went for a run and noticed my CGM was not working. Blank screen....the little battery cap had broken the top off and was not making connection. Called Medtronic and they did ship one out overnight, so we're back in business. Anyone else had this happen?
