Does anyone here know of any events in our part of the world to celebrate World Diabetes Day on Nov 14?. The Boston Pump Support group will be having their monthy meeting in Woburn on Nov 14 from 9:30 am to noon. It has been suggested that everyone going to the meeting wear something BLUE. If you are in the area please come and join us. Its a great group of people and this month Patty Rais-Keeley from Dexcom will be our guest speaker. Patty will be giving us all the latest information on the Dexcom CGM. If you are thinking about getting a CGM like I am this will be a good opportunity to learn about the Dexcom. Directions to the meeting in Woburn can be found on this web site someplace below.

Are you interested in meeting up with others who have diabetes? If so check out the 2nd Annual New England Diabetes meetup. It's close to Boston and was a lot of fun last year. I hope to see you there.

I just posted a photo taken at the DESA 2009 Conference. I'm in the middle. On the left is Guy Hornsby a Type 1 Champion Powerlifter, PhD Exercise Physiologiist, and Prof at the Univ of West Virginia. He is also the Chairman of the DESA Board of Directors. On the right is Doug Burns, Type 1 and former Mr Universe, Mr USA and winner of 6 Powerlifting Championships.

This is the indexed, searchable, world wide web (google: site:http://tudiabetes.com ). I am not going to put that I am T1 on my LinkedIn profile. I don't post using my last name. That's part of my excuse.
