Florian, thanks for posting about this. Last year's meeting was really informative, and I'll plan on attending this one.

Here is something that all members of the New England Diabetes Group should know about. It would be a great opportunity and reason for a meet up. I went last year and Bernard was there also to hear Dr Wolpert talk about the CGM Clinical Trial.

I am glad to hear there was a nice gathering in Woburn. It's hard to believe the number of years you mentioned - 403 in total among 8 of you. That's great ! My husband has been dealing with type II for about 14 years.

We had a very good meeting of the MA Pumpers support group on Sat with 15 people in attendance. Eight of us went to lunch after the meeting and it was interesting to find out that the total number of years of living with diabetes for the 8 of us was, 403 years!!! This is one of the best support groups around the New England Diabetes Area. The next meeting will be on the second Sat in Feb. If you need to know more about the group contact Deb at dgm555@verizon.net.

I just want to wish all the members of New England Diabetes a verry Merry Christmas and a Happy, Healthy, and Active New Year. If you want to do ONE thing in 2010 to manage your diabetes and control blood sugars better start some kind of exercise program in your diabetes management and control PLAN. You might also want to consider joining the local Boston Chapter of DESA (Diabetes Exercise and Sports Association).www.diabetes-exercise.org

Hello! Just wanted to introduce myself to everyone here. If anyone can suggest support groups or events in the southern Connecticut/northern Fairfield County area it would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Does anyone here know of any events in our part of the world to celebrate World Diabetes Day on Nov 14?. The Boston Pump Support group will be having their monthy meeting in Woburn on Nov 14 from 9:30 am to noon. It has been suggested that everyone going to the meeting wear something BLUE. If you are in the area please come and join us. Its a great group of people and this month Patty Rais-Keeley from Dexcom will be our guest speaker. Patty will be giving us all the latest information on the Dexcom CGM. If you are thinking about getting a CGM like I am this will be a good opportunity to learn about the Dexcom. Directions to the meeting in Woburn can be found on this web site someplace below.
