I love the beach and can spend hours there every summer! So what do you guys so about goning to the beach and your insulin. Is it bad to keep it in the car or on the beach in the sun. Can you buy anything to store it in?

Hi Linda

I keep mine in my handbag as always. I would never ever keep it in the car, even in a chilly bin (esky) or something like that, because a car can get to ridiculous temperatures and spoil your insulin. If I keep my handbag in the shade it's ok - but then our summers don't get quite as hot as yours!

Have you heard of the frio packs? They look good. There's bound to be other similar things to. Maybe even a drink holder thingy that's been in the fridge (or maybe freezer if it doesn't get TOO cold?).

It's a tricky balance between keeping it out of the heat and not freezing it! Frio packs look like the perfect answer and they're meant to last a good while too. I haven't got one myself, but maybe someone else can comment.
