Come clement weather...I beckon thee. Trees and flowers, blossom and bee.

It is neither right nor fair what happens to children, especially in wars. I think Mr. Obama will help usher the world in a more positive direction. I am an American, born and proud, but I do care for all people, everywhere. Wars allow the monsters to surface. Ok, getting too grim. It is a happy day here. Hope you are well.

Marie,
I just watched your new president and wished you all happiness and prosperity as I wished for the whole world.Sad about war crimes in Gazza,my condolence came from beautiful poeple in Isreal who demanded reporting about the autrocities.
For three weeks I could not sleep, finished a poetry book accepted for publication about innocent children caught up in political conflicts.

I tried working on the poem today. It started looking too Dr. Seuss and way too dorky. Sorry

I grew up near Washington DC, and we always went to the Presidential Inauguration parade. Today I am so excited about our new President, and I will be glued to my tv. I remember how cold it always was, and how we had to stand on Pennsylvania Ave for hours, and then how exciting the parade was. And then, when the new President and First Lady went by, and all the crowds cheering. The last one I went to was Reagan's first, and I remember the moment when everyone in the crowd heard that the hostages in Iran had been released. That was so exciting. Of course now the security must be unbelievable. When I was a kid, you could drive your car right in front of the White House, and walk right into the Capitol building. Oh, well, you can still tour the White House, and I highly recommend it! I was lucky once to have a Secret Service tour at night, and even got to see the Oval Office.
