Hi Susan, I look forward to meeting you in the fall--or feel free to host our next summer meeting at your beach club ;) I didn't go to Camp NYDA, I grew up in New England. But I did do a great Joslin/Outward Bound program one summer when I was first diagnosed--bonding with other diabetics was immeasurably helpful. Thankfully we now have Camp A&J Pizza.

I live in Middle Village, very close to Forest Hills, and would love to meet up with you guys, but weekends in the summer are difficult for me. I belong to a beach club, so if the weather is sunny, I'm usually there. But I'll be there in the fall if you're still meeting. I would love to meet you all. BTW Did any of you go to Camp NYDA as a kid? We have a very active alumni group on Facebook and just had a reunion of 130 of us at the campgrounds in the Catskills on June 15. It's amazing how we're able to bond with each other regardless of age because of our common struggles with diabetes. We're such a support group for each other :-)
