Emily D, I didn't have nausea to the point of losing food, but I've read on Babycenter where people talk about having success with combining regular Unisom and Vitamin B6. (Google it.) It's something OTC that you can do. I was told by my OB to try it in a pinch if I couldn't deal with the nausea. If the Rx stuff isn't working, you might get some relief. I tried ginger, but it didn't do anything for me.

Diabetes and big babies. My first weighed 10lb.1oz. second 9lb.1oz. and third was 10 lb. 15oz. My last one actually got stuck behind my pelvic bone. They jumped on me like a trampoline to get him out. But he is good now. He is 4 years old and thinking about having another but I am scared to. Next one will be c-section. LOL

For me my insulin usage pretty much stayed the same during the pregnancy. Now my insulin usage has dropped dramatically since I am breast feedings.

I've just shared my exciting news on a blog on my page. YES LADIES, I'M ACTUALLY PREGNANT!! 12-weeks and making a super healthy little baby so far! (That's official intuitive news, plus a NT scan.) YES YES, I'm so happy!! Go visit my page to read the lovely details, plus see the 12-week scan. Very cute - like every cute 12-week scan out there).

Congratulations to you and your son. That is strange they wouldn't let you keep your pump. My ob told me my diabetes care was in my hands the entire time I was inpatient before and after the baby was born and they allowed me to keep my pump. Even told me if I had to have a c-section I could keep it on.
