Lost.
I found out I was pregnant in May of last year. Our baby would be due Feb. 9th, I was monitoring my blood sugars very closely, I was doing so good that my A1C dropped from 10 something to 7.6 in one month. I started having really bad cramps so we went to the ER and they told me that everything was normal. I started to bleed (sorry TMI) so I called the office that I was seeing (they dealt with high risk pregnancies), they also told me I was fine. I called them 3 times and every time they told me that I was fine and it was normal to bleed. The 4th time I called them I explained that I had a Dr. appt in a few days and that I was still bleeding, they panicked and told me to come in right away for an unltrasound. The ultrasound tech saw nothing, no baby, no heartbeat, not a thing. I know that doctors can't do anything if a woman is having a miscariage, but I just don't understand how they could tell me that bleeding for a week is normal.
My boyfriend and I are trying to have a baby, so wish us luck.

I'm sorry for your loss. No its not normal for a doctor to tell you its normally. Especially not when you call multiple times. They should have brought you in earlier. I would be looking for a new high risk doctor.
Good luck on trying again. We have been trying since March 2012 with no luck. I had my first son August 23, 2011 after only trying 5 months so this is frustrating but now we have learned there might be some things that might make it so we have to stop trying. :(

Hi courtrachelle, sorry to hear about your loss.
I noticed that you are from Oregon, and I know that Portland is a bit far from Salem, but I thought you might consider a doctor from Portland.
I had personal experience working with this endocrinologist, who was extremely helpful in the process of my pregnancy. I did not have a high risk pregnancy doctor, but I am sure she will be able to recommend one.

Sorry for your loss. I just had a miscarrige as well...I completely understand what you are going through. In my case I did not bleed I was feeling perfectly fine and when I went for my second ultrasound to our surprise there was no baby. :( ....this past Saturday i had a surgery to remove the gestational sac (9 week sac)....I am still crying and crying one day I am fine and then start crying on the next day. I am 39 years old, diabetic and with high blood preasure, my endo does not recomend me to become pregnant and my husband is scared if I get pregnant again, which I understand, but I really want to become a mom...so I feel so frustrated and mad with life. Many people has had the same miscarriage that I had but the main difference is that they have tried to get pregnant again but in my case I believe it was my only chance. :( Good luck to you!!!
