Anyone know an adhesive to stick between the pod and the adhesive patch on the pod?  I don't really understand why there are only 2 little points of connection between the adhesion to my skin and the pod.  By the 3rd day the pod is pulling away from my arm and I am worried the canula will come out.  It was recommended to put bandaids on the pod to hold it to me more- but it looks awful!  And it increases the adhesive area on my arm.

I reviewed the below posts; my 5 year old daughter is only on her 3rd pod, and two of them separated from the adhesive, one resulted in a 435 bg with .8 ketones; WITH NO ALARM (scary). Here is what we are trying:
our nurse suggested liquid nails but I was worried that the chemicals (even dried) would be irritating, so:
for the current pod, we are using Curlex - that ribbon from the doctor that they put around you when you hold a cotton ball after a shot - actually we use Vet Wrap becuase it is cheaper.
The pharmicist, after I suggested the Flexifix or surgical adhesive, suggested double stick carpet tape, and I also bought double stick photo squares which we are trying on the next two pods.
I emailed Omnipod, they said:
"If you go to my Omnipod.com and look under the Customer Care tab and go into the Guides and Resources category there will be an option for pod placement and adhesive tips. If you click onto that option you'll will have access to a list of possible solutions to your issue. There are a number of things you can choose from it's all a matter of what works for you. Being an Omnipod user myself I would definitely pass on the liquid nail suggestion."
Let us know if you found something and vice versa!
Hmm sounds like you had a more helpful representative help. The one that responded to me basically just told me why they were designed like that. hmm. I'll check the tab out for adhesives and try some of the tapes.
Look at the Omnipod Tips and Tricks discussion and there is some more about the adhesive issue.
You can buy two-sided adhesive backed velcro "dots" now -- they come in fairly tiny sizes, and I've started cutting them in half and using to adhere the loose sides of the pods to their backing.

That's a great idea. FYI, the Omnipod website was useless - they basically said that 3M stuff that is just like Vetrap but tons more expensive, and some other kind of tape. We asked the paramedics and they said don't use superglue or liquid nails also because they will eat through the adhesive backing. The tape was not strong enough that we tried, so we will try the velcro when not using the Vetrap.
VetWrap works like a charm for us. Bonus, go to a feed store, and you can usually get it for $2.50 or so a roll. We also have gotten UnderArmour shirts/boxers that have marginal success.

As for adhesive, the OmniPod page WAS actually helpful in that respect, at leat a bit. It said, among other things, that SkinTac would help adhere it. I ordered it in wipe form (you can also get it in liquid that you dab on - bought it but haven't tried it yet), and it works both between Pod and adhesive, and adhesive and skin. You will want to get UniSolve wipes to help you take it off, though, the stuff is SUPER SUPER strong!
