I know that there will be some lag between the release of the next generation system and then the later release of the One-Touch capable PDM.

How will this affect the current users? I was under the impression that Insulet will automatically ship the next generation system to all its current users when it's available because they're going to stop production of the current pods and they will not be cross-compatible.

If I get a free PDM with the upgrade that uses the FreeStyle strips, will I be on the hook financially if I want to switch to the One-Touch PDM or will they offer an exchange.

I see a lot of people being forced to take the first PDM that comes out and then not being able to switch to the One-Touch PDM for financial reasons. Sounds like J&J will have a real uphill battle to get their foot into the OmniPod market if that's the case.

Anyone know any more about the situation or have thoughts?

I think the release of the omnipod using the one-touch strips is a ways off yet. look how long it took to get the approval for the butterfly strips. I think they are concentration on getting the smaller pods and new pdm out first.
