Does anyone know who the OmniPod representative is for the San Francisco Bay Area? I am working directly with Insulet to get my insurance approval. I have asked to speak with my local rep but they seem evasive on giving me his/her name and/or number. Is there a local rep? I am not getting a good feeling with the start of this process. In fact, I have already heard from the Medtronic rep and the Ping rep, both are aware that I chose Omni, yet continue to follow up with me to see if I am OK... go figure -

Does anyone have any idea if Insulet Corp. reads any of the posts on our blog?

Thanks for all of your help and all of the great information you have shared with me in making this decision.

Omnipod has local sales reps? Is this something new?
Nope.. not new...
I had a rep in Texas contact me as soon as I sent my questionnaire to my endo for his signature. I guess he happened to walk into their office at right about that time. He gave me some useful information but, also gave me a song and dance about changing which insulin I was using. I asked my endo about it and his whole office was totally pissed off about it. Apparently they read him the riot act. Anyway, long story short...my diabetic educator and nurse at my endo's office have given me the most help and answers. Good luck...I know it is frustrating. I am so glad that I went with the Omnipod...even with any difficulties I have had.
Angela Patterson apatterson@insulet.com she is pretty good about responding to questions, etc.

as far as I know out east they have reps. My Center wanted to do all the training themselves , so CDE did us, put I was also contacted by the rep from OMnipod from the NYC territory and the Northern NJ territory , so yes they do have them, and actually I liked them very much, but my endo practice did all their own training.
If you go to any Diabetic type events/walks or JDRF stuff you can run into all the different pump reps in your area as they exhibit at these events I would be very surprised if a major area like San Francisco didnt have a rep. Good Luck
We love our omnipod
