Last night I started the first live pod. It was way easier than I thought, and I know I can do this now because the pod does the hard stuff for me.
When I started my BG was 319, and this morning it's 202! This is the lowest its been in a long time. I checked it at 2am & 4am and it was thrilling to see it dropping...I can't wait to get it leveled out so my eyesight will adjust and I can get them checked.

My trainer is a doll and said she will call me to check on things so I don't feel like I was just thrown out there on my own. Also knowing all of you are here helps a lot also.

Now I only have to remember to check my BG a little more often than I have been.

Whoo Hoo! I can do this!!

I did but might try it again. Thanks Putertech!

ok Putertech here is what this puter dummy did...I downloaded Omnipod Extention program but didn't install it. It's working fine now.

Thank you for the brain jog. Everyone has been very nice to help me and I really appreciate it.

My daughter in law asked me today what it felt like having the pod on my thigh...I told her it's my Alien Baby Seed Pod. She now thinks I've totally lost it.

Now that's funny!
Glad you got the puter stuff working.

I have been having problems with the PDM talking to the CoPilot software. I read your post about not installing and thought I had better check on that. I started from square one and re-downloaded and installed the OmniPod Extension and now it works perfectly.

Thanks for giving me the idea,
Benny

I was going to download my info from the PDM to CoPilot last night and I kept getting an Error message that "It had timed out"

I am going to try uninstall and redownload also.

Still having trouble hooking to CoPilot after uninstalling and re-installing...I get a Timed Out Error

Try moving the USB port you're using on the computer. Sometimes that helps with some USB devices.

When you are trying to download it, you need to select the correct PDM - after the Omnipod extensions are installed, there is a spot to select the Omnipod versus a different device(sorry, I'm not at my computer with the software on it so I don't remmeber which device it was). Once you select the correct device, the timeeout error should'nt come up.

My problem is, I'm prety sure that downloading does not work on the Canadian PDMs. I thouh I remembered my trainer telling me this as i use that function on other BG devices. I tired last night and kept getting zero records read - it did connect, just no records. Hopefully this will get resolved soon as I really use tha graphing and logging a lot.

Ok, I stand corrected - the software does work in Canada providing you get the correct Canadian version, not the one that you can download from the internet. Also, I did have an issue after installing the correct version with it coming up with zero records. During my first data transfer, about half way through, my batteries died in my PDM and caused some kind of coruption of the file. the Copilot support poerson at Omnipod walked me through how to reset it and now, all is well. All 2,300 records flew through and I'm good to go.

Thanks for the encouragement. I've been giving myself injections for over 20 years. I'm now 41 yrs old, and just ordering my first pump(omnipod). I was always a little hesitant because I do have seizures every couple months with hypoglycemic episodes. It seems with the new pump, along with a Dexcom cgm, my b.g.s will improve (assuming I can figure out the technical stuff for all the gadgets).

Up till now my bg's have been very high (mostly just to avoid the hypo seizures). This is my first comment since joining the tudiabetes.org. Once my pump and cgm arrive, i'm sure more comments will follow - alot of questions, I'm sure,.

jdsnyc you came to the right place for the answers. Everyone here is very friendly and helpful.

I think I figured out my CoPilot problem...I am ashamed to tell this...It was downloading my info just fine...I didn't realize there was a scroll bar on the right. That explains why I never saw anything more than the first day...you can laugh now.

I laugh ... LOL ;-)
