Congratulations!!!

I love my Omnipod :) I will say that EVERY TIME I see my endo - he comments on how difficult the Omnipod is compared to Minimed in extracting readings,boluses, etc.

Whatever! It's still a major improvement in my diabetes control and lifestyle!! I hope you enjoy your Omnipod experience :)

Allie my endo did that before I got my pod last year and I shut him up because my A1C went from an 8.5 to a 7.2 with my first visit after having my pod.

But Sandy I understand how you feel about the cost. I put the DexComm on hold as well until finances get a little better. I have been wanting one since last year but its enough trying to keep my pods paid for. But I hope everything works out for you.

Yes, and with the possibility of the integrated CGM and pump, forking out the extra cash for the CGM doesn't really work for me right now.

Congratulations SandyG!!! I have been using the OmniPod for a little over a month now and I am loving it. I am approved for the DexCom as well but like you put it off until I have the OmniPod dialed in.

The first couple of weeks was very exciting. Figuring out your rates, finding good (and bad) sites and everything else that goes along with it. It has also taught me about better management of my diabetes. Carb counting, corrections, insulin reaction times, things I never paid attention to while in a routine on shots. It has been a great learning experience and things have been getting better by the day.

Good luck with everything, you will love it.

Thanks, that's my yellow Lab when he was around 4 months old - he is 3 years old now. I don't have any pictures of myself so I use that one for my profile pics :).
