My son had the same type rash underneath the Pod area. He could barely stand to have it on the same site for 2 days. We now use the Bard Barrier wipes for every Pod change and discontinued the Hibistat which is an antiseptic wipe which contains alcohol and was very drying. We started Hibistat because in the first month he got a staph infection under the Pod. The Bards has seemed to help a lot and he likes them better than a similar product by Allcare.

Just as a reminder with the pending second generation pods and new PDMs hitting the US market in the coming months--it is NOT okay to post about pods or PDMs for sale on this site. It is a violation of the Terms of Use because it is a prescription device.
We encourage you to donate supplies to non-profits such as the Charles Ray III Diabetes Association (http://www.cr3diabetes.org), which accepts unexpired glucometer and insulin pump supplies, or alternatively you may talk to your physician's office or other local medical group to discuss donating them to those in need of assistance.

Have you tried putting Tegaderm down on her skin first and then put the pod on top of that?

We live in Fishers Indiana and having been trying to get our CS Victoria to call us back for several months. My daughter is having an almost allergic reaction to her pods welts, bruising, rash. She is freaking out that she may have to give shots again. She is so insulin sensitive this causes many highs/lows. She was diagnosed 2 years ago. My doc is referring to omnipod I'm going crazy. At this point I want someone

Jennifer....never had a leaking pod. (3 1/2 yrars) I am assuming it was inserted properly.
