Has anybody noticed the lack of insurance coverage for The One Touch Strips? I have been using the One Touch UltraSmart for years and may have to switch to the new Freestyle Meter because of the insurance dropping One touch strips. I am pretty nervous about it because I love my Ultrasmart.

ok, got my cable and I downloaded the program for my MAC now the computer is not even showing that I have my mini plugged in! This is not cool. Now what?! Help anyone?

Just a update: I phoned OneTouch.ca today and they are sending me a cable for free. They were really nice. I only hope the guy understood me. We only use our mail boxes not our street addresses. Fingers crossed. =)

Missrobbie:
Good for you! It was not so not an easy process, and I was met by quite a few hurdles - including an incompetent rep who only delayed my initial application, making me miss the Oct 1 deadlines - now causing me not to be eligible for group insurance once I get a job because now I've not had insurance for more than the 62 days. AAAAarrrrggggh. Oh well, at least I can get insulin next month. Gotta look at the bright side, right?

Abbott, and Roche are much more helpful if you cant afford strips...

One touch will NOT help with paying for strips.. Youll have better luck with Abbott and Accu-Chek/Roche.. Notoriously stingy company..

329,040 minutes, 329,040 moments so dear. 329,040 minutes — How do you measure, measure volunteers? In smileys, in tears shed, in counsel, in cups of coffee. In units, in carb counts, in laughter, in strife. In 329,040 minutes – how …
