Try this link above and ask the company themselves how you may obtain the Omnipod in France. They would be the best resourse for you. And of course they will want to sell it to you.

We love it! My two year old daughter has been on Since June. We have had some learning curves to overcome, but a world of difference compared to shots.

Hope this helps.

To me it looked like the omnipod would be kind of big and bulky for a little one? I like the idea of no tubing to worry about, though. Rory's doc said they don't really use them for kids his age, he is 2. But it is offered for older patients.

we are a little bit limited on the places we can place it at least till he gets bigger. It is not as big as you would think. If you want to look at a demo.. You can go on www.omnipod.com and they will send you a demo for him to wear.

Omnipod don't want to send me a demo because i leave in France.

Are you moving to the US? If so, you may be able to get the omni-pod then. But it is my understanding that Omnipod is not available yet out side of the US. Have you thought about upgrading your 2020 to get the ping remote? We use the Animas Ping which is basically the same as teh 2020 but has a remote for bolusing. We like it very much. I do think as our daughter gets older she will want the tubless pumps- but for now she is fine with the tubing.

hope this helps

Thanks a lot. I don't move to the US now... but i think i find some one who will come soon.
In France, we don't have yet the ping remote for animas. But maybe one day ..... I think, it's very good in order not to wake up your baby. Thanks again for your help.

My daughter is 2 and was just diagnosed. Any questions, please write!!
We are getting the omnipod very soon for her. I cannot wait. It will lessen the amount of ups and downs we have. As you know, toddlers do not eat when they are told or supposed to. I empathize with you.
Find a good Endrocrin doctor that will listen to all of your concerns. My prayers are with you.

Thanks. My endo is very good, but the problem is, that in France Gouvernment or somethings else, don't want to develop all the produce with diabete type 1. They are very longuer. It's a question of money... here.
Any questions, write you tot. My english is bab, but i'm like you. My sun diagnostised the 9 july 2008 at 20 month... and now the life change and it's very difficult.
Thanks.

Hello,

My so was diagnosed a few days before his 3rd birthday, and is now almost 4. He uses the OmniPod and we love it. We have been on it since January 2009, and have only had one or two problems (Static electricity causing Pod failure).

We use Novorapid (called Novolog in U.S) and only put 85 units in each pod (smallest amount you can put in each). We don't use it all in 3 days, but have no other choice but to put in at least 85 units.

Our health insurance (U.S.A) pays for the pods and Insulet (maker of the Pod) mails them to us every three months. Please email me with any questions. kajoeyla@gmail.com
