My t1d son was diagnosed in October...and I have to say doing much better now than I thought he would be with much more stable numbers and no scary lows (knock on wood!). He knows what a low feels like and can name it, but when he is high (200's) I am wondering if maybe he is not linking symptoms to the high. Anyone else notice tummy aches or strong emotions or headaches in kids when they run a little high? I can't tell if he is just getting a headache and it happens to be when he is high, or if it is part of the higher blood sugar. When we went to the hospital we were in the 600's, and he was tired and often headachy, but I am certainly not talking that high at all!
Man, keeping up on this kid's health gets tiring!

My son is significantly younger (he's 3, diagnosed at 21 months) so he doesn't really tell us much. He definitely gets weepy at either extreme so behavior at least lets me know to check. Sometimes, he's just cranky! He definitely gets a tummy ache when he has ketones.
Does your son have a CGM? This may help you a little with pattern recognition.
