I don't have children, however I know a group of parents gathering Art, Math, Science and English students to help them help school. I donated free muesum tickets from recylcebank.com to help.

What's missing from the education is critical thinking.A 24-year-old quit teaching when the art teacher said, "Four leaf clovers are green! I don't want to see red, yellow, poka-dot...!" The student teacher said,"This is art. Why can't the children be creative? As long as the children know that four leaf clovers are green, let them have fun." I also have a problem with the manner classrooms are arranged. From k-8th grad I remember sitting at tables, not desks. Today, some students are crammed into desks and forced to learn test taking skills for six hours. In Silicon Valley, students read books, and not iPads;they don't get computers unties sixth grade;they sit at tables and not desks; they have critical thinking lesson;kindergarteners have blocks and sand boxes... Of course the parents in Silicon Valley have money, so they don't have to worry about this "NO Child Left Behind" crap.
