You accepted your diagnosis. What do/did you do now ?I researched, read books, attended Diabetes education classes, I had it made. I knew it all. I did well for a number of months, then I got tired…Continue

OK folks, I need something from you. Would each of you find a really, really long stick and "tap" me on the head. Once you have my attention would you read me the riot act. I have been off track, way off track, since the holidays and need some motivation or something to help me get back.

I think that probably, part of enjoying the ride is screaming in terror.

I chose that path long ago Nearing40years. Hey like that name. I'm nearing 38 myself here. After I tried to be "normal" for about 3 years I found that I wasn't. I don't let the D rule me (although sometimes it does) I just accept what I can't change and go on from there. I always try to laugh expecially at those lows (not while their going on but after I get my sences back and look at what I said or done during those times. It makes for good conversation when everybody's laughing at you too! LOL!

I accepted my diagnoses and started researching. I get frustrated sometimes but I have D and I have to deal with it. I may scream sometimes, but that doesn't seem to make it go away :).

I really don't know if there are any people who fit in this catagory, so I put it out there. I am looking for people who realized from the beginning that diabetes was part of their life and even if it was a roller coaster ride without breaks, there were only two choices: scream in terror or hang on and enjoy the ride. I chose the latter. I'm looking for others who did the same.
