Why did my pancreas break?

Fluke?

Immmune defeciency?

Genetics?

Bad Luck?

Good Luck?

Why?

God knows.

I will some know some day.

MY MOM

You were tired, the pain I saw in your face.
The end was coming at a very fast pace.
I came think of how I wanted you to stay...
But knew you would be gone by the very next day
It was all a bit hard for me to understand,
You life was not mine to command
The cancer just became too hard for you.
I didn't want to see.....but I knew..
You had to be where you could fly.
Mom, It's so hard to say good-bye.
You were mine for all those years,
I will miss and will cry my tears.
But I also know, that it's okay..
Cuz I know we'll be together again some day.

A TRUE FOOTBALL STORY
For an audience of one
She could catch every single one
A real gem
She, could catch like the men
She tried too hard to be like them
Wanted to prove herself all tough, with an arm of iron
And show don’t matter the sex to play catch

Within a day, in front of everyone
She could catch for nothing
Fear from balls coming from afar and a misjudgment of distance
She fumbled every single one
But remained too stubborn to say it not my forte
It wasn’t just an off day; she wasn’t experienced to catch pop-flies
She knew better, but continued to play
So her confidence went down the drain
She felt embarrassed, ashamed and disgraced

Things continued to go down hill
When a ball jetted toward and pegged her in the forehead leaving its mark
A walnut sized knot and a profoundly stunned and helpless domineer
She kept strong and calm holding her emotions in, not shedding a single tear

On that dreadful day she was left with a reputation to rebuild
She had entered the football hall of shame
She must re-fine and fine-tune her skills to rebuild her reputation
She concluded that there’d be no more public play for the next decade
On second thought maybe it is ok, every once in awhile to just be the average girl
Sometimes there’s nothing wrong with playing like a girl is expected to
It’s all in one’s head

I wish upon a rainbow
Of violet, green and blue,
That of all the things you wish for
Your most precious wish comes true.

I wish upon a rainbow
With colours that shine so bright,

The rainbow makes it right.

With a glimpse of hope and harmony,

All that would want it to be.

Among loved one and your friends.

ON FAERIES AND FREEDOM

Glittering, shimmering in the air,
Sunlight dancing on her hair
Two fragile wings reflecting light
Compose a strange, unearthly sight

Free flowing gossamer, soft and warm
Clothes her lithe and slender form
While movement of uncommon grace
Compliments her lovely face

She dances round the woodland trees
Hitching rides-on honeybees
And nature smile with untold pleasure
On this her small but priceless treasure

If only Mankind would commune
And with the Earth could stay in tune,
Perhaps we all might be as free
As the maiden fair and honeybee.

I mostly have written songs, and stories but have done a bit of poetry a looooonnngg time ago :)
