Calling all members of Poetry Club! April is National Poetry Month, and we'd like to highlight some new "No Sugar Added" style poems on this page

My Life In Exile

Feeling alone, no fault of my own
Others just believe it's me
Friendship is a sacred trust
Most don't know what it means
Thoughtless drones don't have to think
Just buried in sports and useless things
Worry 'bout things that matter to none'
The goals that no one understands
The thoughts that no one cares to hear
Their all mine and I don't care

Doctors

How do you feel today
                      Any aches any pains
When I am done, you'll be OK
I'm very good, with all but brains

"Your soul looks fine", pulling that thing from my ear.

Must be my soul, lodger of my brain
Thorn lies twixt the anarchical twins
Must be my brain, that mush with vein
Serpent, yes perfect, the grey just grins

"Your soul just complicates the tissue"

Brain just loves to shake the cage
From the bad side of a gene
Soul just spirals into a rage
Brain don't like the word serene

You

I love the 'who you are right now'
I won't wonder and say wow
the many you, are seen only by people who don't matter
the real you is always there, on a platter
for me

Words

Even though I read it twice
they are wrong but still are words
It can be like rolling dice
like many random cats in herds

Miss Kitka
Forever 3 days from feral
Forever appearing humble
Forever dedicated and loving
Forever playfully wild
Forever knowledgeable
Of things we can only guess

The song

Yes, in a book
understandable like a poem set to music
a thing about the mind,
about the mind understanding,
from one type of media to another,
of combining in a more complex way
that makes it seem simple.

The bubble

A bubble floats without effort
Upward bound, for a time
Its essence flows, downwards
Gravity ages the bubble as life ages me
As the bubble thins, the heavens become clear
Then the Earth gets closer
I would have missed the view, by looking down
