oh!the movie
i saw the trailer for like a million time because they have this ost that i totally loved
but not the movie yet, we are going to manchester about the next week, and i can watch it there in a cinema since we dont have one

they really get on my nerves too when they cut out scenes!really, and the previous ones too, specially the third and the fourth

Ok, there is a good point! It occured to me as I watched the movie they really burn bridges for themselves by cutting so much that is important for the last book. It is no wonder it has to be so long they have to introduce so many things that had been in earlier books. Are we taking bets on the number of flashbacks? Between the two movies flashbacks for important info, 15. Any bets?

And who wil they leave out? Dobby, hasn't been seen for a long time, bet he won't be in 7. Then what do they do for the burial/figuring things out scene? There's a lot more. Anyone else?????

Finally saw Movie 6! Great special effects. But really, there's so much richness in JK Rowling's writing--why make up stuff that never happened in the book?

Burning the Burrow and the stupid "Lily gave me a goldfish" story. Bleh.

Voldemort as a kid was fine, but his messing with Harry's thoughts, the Snape-Harry feud, etc., was completely missing and those are crucial to set up 7!!!

I agree on both of those counts I also missed the longer Ginny, Harry romance. And the Burrow being destroyed? That time could have been used on some of the stuff they left out. Still it followed the book better than some of the others.

Hello All I just joined the group. I saw the movie at midnight with my nieces. I liked the movie, but had many complaints about some of the stuff that was left out from the book. For example the fight after harry and dumbledore returned, as well as Dumbledore's funeral. I really wanted to see everyone together for the funeral.

Half Blood Prince(movie) is better than Order of the Phoenix or Goblet of Fire in my opinion. The director missed a few opportunities for it to be the best yet but if he progresses at this rate Deeathly Hallows 1&2 should be great.

We went to the 12am showing it was packed. My daughter who is visiting relatives, in another state, couldn't get a ticket last night and is trying again today.

Of course now we have another long wait until Nov 2010.

ABC Family is having a Harry Potter Weekend with clips and insights to Half-Blood Prince. I am trying to Tivo it so I can just watch the clips, etc...

Dress up....not so much, although I have a Harry Potter t-shirt that I will wear. But I don't have a set of robes. Many people here will be wearing them I am sure. When we waited in line for the last book I think we were the only ones not in robes. But what can I do.
Kelly don't worry I will be testing in. It is like a pre-party for the movie. Popcorn and pop for that too.
